I’ve been a qualified adult nurse since 2012 and spent four years working as a Senior Lecturer in Nursing, teaching and supporting students through their training to become registered nurses.
I’m now a full-time PhD student in medicine, continuing to develop my academic expertise alongside my background in teaching and clinical practice. I hold a Master’s degree with Distinction from the University of Manchester, and academic writing and analysis are a genuine area of strength and interest for me.
Alongside nursing, I have qualifications in advanced communication skills and a background in sociology, which allows me to support students with critical thinking, theory-informed writing and clear academic argument. I understand that academic work can feel unfamiliar or intimidating, particularly when expectations aren’t clearly explained.
Over the years, I’ve supported many undergraduate and postgraduate students with essays, assignments and dissertations, helping them to improve confidence, strengthen their writing, and achieve strong results.
Whether you’re unsure where to start, need help understanding feedback, or want support refining your academic writing, I offer clear, structured and supportive guidance tailored to your course and assessment requirements.
My own experiences have shaped how I support students — particularly those who feel marginalised, overwhelmed, neurodivergent, or unsure whether they ‘belong’ in academic spaces. I’m especially mindful of how anxiety, health, caring responsibilities or previous educational experiences can impact learning.
What working with me is like
Calm, structured and non-judgemental
Clear explanations without academic jargon
Focused on understanding, not just fixing
Supportive of confidence as well as skills
If academic work feels confusing, intimidating or overwhelming, you don’t need to navigate it alone. Support is available, and progress is absolutely possible with the right guidance.
